Mitchell Grove: Wedding Kegs Made Simple (BYOB Wedding Bar)

July 13, 2026 Weddings

One less thing to worry about at Mitchell Grove. The outdoor bar at Mitchell Grove is available for every wedding and includes four taps, CO₂, and refrigerated space for up to three full-size kegs and a pony. Basically, no pump needed, CO2 does the work! The lines are professionally cleaned every two weeks.

Many couples use the bar to serve a favorite local beer, cider, kombucha, or other beverages that are meaningful to them. Some purchase kegs from local breweries, while others work with BevMo or another supplier. Because the bar is already set up and ready to go, it’s one less thing to coordinate.

There are a few important requirements to keep in mind. The bar is not self-service, and all alcohol service must comply with insurance and legal requirements. Couples may hire a professional bartender, work with a licensed caterer, or in some cases have friends or family members serve beverages if all requirements are met. We’ll walk you through the options during your tour so you’ll know exactly what is needed for your wedding.

For convenience, many couples drop off their beverages on Thursday when they bring in décor and other wedding items. This gives everything time to chill and settle before the celebration begins. If you’ve never worked with kegs before, that’s perfectly fine. We’ll show you how the system works and answer any questions you may have.

There is an additional kegerator in the hall that fits one full size keg.

Will often has a keg of house-made sparkling water or hop water available and is happy to leave some for couples if tap space allows. If you’re interested, just check with us before your wedding and we’ll let you know what’s available.

Like much of Mitchell Grove, the bar is designed to be practical, flexible, and quietly supportive—helping couples create a celebration that feels like their own.
