There’s No Shame in Having a Wedding Budget

October 15, 2025 Weddings

Having a budget and a wedding at the same time is not something to be ashamed of — it’s just real life. Every couple operates within some kind of budget, and here at Mitchell Grove, we see all kinds of creative ways to make it work.

A $10K wedding requires careful consideration of your budget, your vision, and the people power available to you. Not everyone has the same amount of the above, and that’s okay. Some couples have friends or family who can lend professional skills — maybe someone who’s worked in a flower shop or who is passionate about flowers and perhaps even a garden club member — while others keep things beautifully simple.

For example, the arch in this photo is straight from our lending closet. The couple kept the decorations minimal, and the result was lovely. You don’t have to spend a fortune to make something feel special. It’s all about choices — if you want to focus more on food and drinks, you can pull back on flowers or décor. The balance looks different for everyone, but it always starts with being honest about your resources and leaning into what (and who) you have.
