Every spring at Mitchell Grove, the apple orchard puts on a breathtaking show. The trees burst into full bloom, filling the air with petals and sunlight. Couples often ask if they can time their wedding to coincide with this magical moment — and who wouldn’t want to say “I do” surrounded by blossoms?
The tricky part is that nature follows her own calendar. The apple bloom usually comes in March or April, while our wedding season runs from May through October. That means by the time your guests arrive, the blossoms have already faded into green leaves and ripening fruit.
But here’s the good news: even without the blossoms, the orchard creates a beautiful backdrop all season long. In May, the trees are fresh and green; in late summer, they hang heavy with apples; and by October, they glow in golden light. Every stage tells its own story, and couples often find themselves surprised at how stunning the orchard looks in whatever season they choose.
The bloom may be fleeting, but the orchard itself is timeless — each season has its own beauty.
