Is This a Cheap Wedding? Or Just Rich in People Power?

September 5, 2025 Weddings

A florist might be in your budget, but if they’re not, do not despair!  At Mitchell Grove we keep a lending closet of arches, barrels, ladders, and more — free for couples to use. Add a little people power, and suddenly the cost drops way down while the beauty stays right where it belongs.

You don’t have to choose between overspending or doing without. With the basics already covered here at the venue, you can focus on just a few accent pieces that reflect your style — and let your friends or family help with the setup.

In this photo, the couple borrowed our free arch. Instead of ordering a full floral install, they purchased just one accent arrangement from a florist. Friends then zip-tied it in place before the ceremony. The end result was beautiful, personal, and budget-friendly.

This approach is simple: combine a professional touch with people power. Get one or two florist pieces you love, then let your people do the placement. It saves money, brings your community into the day, and works smoothly because at Mitchell Grove we host only one wedding each weekend. No rush, no pressure — just space to create.

So, is it a cheap wedding? Not really. It’s rich in people power — and that’s what makes it memorable.
